ARTIST BIO

Tyler Murphy was born in Marietta, Georgia in 1991 and currently resides in Jacksonville, Florida. He developed a deep appreciation for the world around him from a young age, exploring and observing the beauty in everything, which eventually led him to become a celebrated mixed media and upcycling artist.

As a teenager, Tyler's entrepreneurial spirit was evident when he started his first business designing T-shirts, pants, and hats for kids' talent shows and family reunions, and even creating his own line of jewelry. He also worked part-time as a graphic designer, gaining valuable experience in the field.

Tyler's passion for the arts grew as he got older, and he began experimenting with different techniques and mediums. He discovered his talent for transforming everyday objects into beautiful works of art, including paintings, collages, sculptures, journals, street art, and murals. Tyler's work often reflects his philosophy that everything goes together somehow, and he finds inspiration in unexpected places.

Over the years, Tyler's art has been featured in various exhibitions and shows across Florida, including the "FREE PRESS" Art Show in Jacksonville, the RITZ Theatre and Museum, and the Jessie Ball DuPont Center, both also located in Jacksonville.

In 2023, Tyler was invited to create a mural painting at KIPP Impact Academy in Jacksonville, Florida, which was a significant achievement and recognition of his skills and creativity. Tyler also took art courses at Murray Hill Arts Studios, where he learned new techniques and developed his unique style.

Tyler remains humble and grounded despite his success, always seeking new ways to grow as an artist and use his work to inspire others. He believes that art has the power to bring people together and has dedicated his life to creating pieces that do just that.
